Hello friends! I invite you to celebrate Spring and revisit a traditional craft with an unexpected twist! Fill your Easter basket with spectacular eggs decorated with a dye transfer process that utilizes old-school men’s neck ties. There is something just a little bit magical about being able to create paisley, polka dot and stripe pattering on the ephemeral surface of a delicate egg! Join me on Sunday, March 13 from 11:00am until 2:00pm in the Meng & Mahar Studio for this Tie-Dye Easter Egg Workshop!
Each participant will learn techniques, tips and tricks to successfully create their own tie-dye eggs. All tools and materials will be provided including two dozen eggs per student and an Easter basket to carry home your finished eggs! I’ll also demonstrate how to hollow eggs using a dremel tool. Please wear clothing that you won’t mind possibly getting a bit wet or dye stained.
We can comfortably accommodate six students for each workshop – click here to purchase and reserve your seat.
All workshops are held in the Meng & Mahar Studio Space located in the historic core of downtown Los Angeles. Click here for the address, directions, a map and parking information.
