Join me this weekend for a one-of-a-kind embroidery workshop where we’ll transforn a vintage 1945 fabric map into a hand stitched love letter to Sonoma County. Open to adventurous beginners and experienced embroiderers, we'll explore the many ways you can document your wine country adventures with a needle and floss.

We'll gather on Saturday, June 7, at @bacchuslanding in Healdsburg, as part of the Crafted at @appellationhotels program, co-hosted by @thesettingwines, with delicious bites from the team of @chefcharliepalmer. A delightful day to slow down, savor, and stitch.

Whether you’re hoping to document a road trip, highlight local landmarks, or stitch connections between loved ones, I’ll walk you through embroidery basics and creative ways to make this map uniquely your own. I’m delighted to be offering an encore session o I’m delighted to be offering an encore session of my Embroidered Postcards Workshop at the @sfbotanicalgarden on Saturday, June 21! 🪡📬 I’ve sourced, digitally restored and reprinted a set of classic souvenir postcards from the @japaneseteagardensf - making them ready for your embroidery embellishment. I'll walk you through the basics of stitching on paper and then we’ll explore classic sashiko motifs, a traditional Japanese form of stitching, and how to apply them to the vintage imagery.

This workshop is beginner-friendly - no prior embroidery experience is necessary. Your finished postcards can be displayed as keepsakes from your JTG adventures or sent to loved one as deliverable mail art. Follow the link in my profile for complete info.

Side note: My teaching schedule is more limited this year as I focus on a number of behind-the-scenes projects. If you’re interested in joining us, I encourage you to sign up while spots are available!
Had the joy of creating some simple floral centerp Had the joy of creating some simple floral centerpieces for an event at @sonomabotanicalgarden this past week - and the peonies ended up being absolute showstoppers. 😍 Hands-down one of my top ten favorites flowers: an intoxicating scent, and the way they dramatically unfurl? Pure floral theater.

Swipe left to see the “before” shot: a bucket of beauties from my local @traderjoes! Thanks to @daniel_perales_studio for the gorgeous 📸.

We had the pleasure of joining friends last weeken We had the pleasure of joining friends last weekend for a butter and cheese-making class with the renowned Sheana Davis and Ben Sessions of The Epicurean Connection. While Sonoma Valley is best known for its world-class wines🍷, dairy has long played a vital role in the region’s agricultural heritage🧀. It was a joy to be students for the day—learning just how simple (and satisfying) it can be to make delicious cheese from scratch, and leaving with the tools and inspiration to keep creating at home!
