While I had a veeeerry limited travel schedule thi While I had a veeeerry limited travel schedule this summer, I did spend a lot of time stitching on vintage souvenir postcards highlighting destinations across the country. ✈️📬🪡 Embroidering on paper is a surprisingly different adventure when compared to taking needle and floss to fabric - and I’m totally on board! I’ve collected a charming set of postcards, digitally restored them and printed them just for you. They’re packed alongside a swell set of materials and tools for my upcoming October 5th workshop at @monstermonstershop in Seattle. 🎉 And if you prefer stitching on fabric, I’ve got you covered! On October 4th I’ll be leading a new session of my Embroidering on the Photographic Image Workshop - complete with a brand new sampler of classic vintage photographs. In October I’m heading to Port Townsend, WA - a charming Victorian seaport town about two hours north of Seattle. Destination? The charming Bazaar Girls Yarn Shop & Fibre Emporium! Our afternoon project focuses on recreating fall and winter foliage from fabric. Learn to draft patterns from pressed leaves and then recreate wired and posable versions from linen cotton textiles. 🍂 Tie oak leaves to napkins on your Thanksgiving table, tuck fruiting holly under the ribbon of a wrapped gift, or hang a cluster of everlasting mistletoe in your doorway. Three years ago my family traded in our metropolis Three years ago my family traded in our metropolis of millions for a little town of ten thousand in the heart of California Wine Country. Its laid back charm, welcoming community and gorgeous scenery have completely won us over. 😊 And now that we've settled in - I’d like to invite you to visit!
