I’m thrilled to be teaching at my third consecutive Craftcation! This annual conference for makers is packed with business and hands on classes expertly coordinated by Nicole Stevenson and Delilah Snell, the powerhouse duo behind Dear Handmade Life and the Patchwork Shows. Each year I’ve designed a Craftcation Souvenir Embroidery Sampler and used it as tool to introduce new stitchers to embroidery.
I had such a fun time playing around with modern typography and reworked vintage packaging graphics to create this year’s sampler. The charming Craftcation cat holding a spool of thread will be available to my students in four different color combinations paired with a beautiful selection of variegated floss from our friends at DMC. Attendees unable to attend one of my workshops will be able to pick up one the samplers in the Craftcation Pop-Up – along with one of my souvenir patches that can easily be sewn into a pin cushion!
Even if you’re not heading to Ventura, CA this week for Craftcation, you can still stitch up this charming sampler – I created a version just for you (see below)! Pick your favorite colorway – there are four to choose from. OR! Save when you select a combination four pack – the perfect set for a crafternoon get together with friends. I think these craft happy cats are the cutest and I can’t wait to see how you make them uniquely your own. At 12″ x 12″ they can easily be hand stitch and then machine sewn into a little accent pillow, incorporated into a tote bag, quilt square or even framed and displayed.
