How to Make Washi Wrapped Pencils

Materials and tools:
Pencils (unsharpened)
6″ Square Washi origami paper
Mod Podge
Glue brush
Craft knife & cutting mat
Ruler
Pencil sharpener

Directions:
1) Measure and cut 6″ x 6″ piece of Washi origami paper into four 1 ½” x 6″ strips using a craft knife, ruler and cutting mat.

2) Brush a thin layer of Mod Podge onto the back of the paper and on the pencil shaft. Align 1 ½” edge of paper strip underneath the ferrule, then slowly and tightly roll the paper around the pencil shaft, smoothing as you go.

3) Allow pencils to dry completely and then sharpen ends.
